There’s a brand new cannabis SPAC hitting the markets. It goes by the name of The Parent Company, and it’s the product of the largest cannabis SPAC in history. With plenty of fresh capital, and a star-studded investor roster including Jay-Z, the company is looking to become a dominant player in the marijuana business. We spoke with Michael Auerbach, Chairman of Subversive Acquisition Corp. and The Parent Company about the future of cannabis in the U.S., how the company will leverage investors such as Rihanna, Meek Mill, and DJ Khaled, commitment to investing in Black cannabis entrepreneurs, and outlook for the end of prohibition.
